Description: Garda superintendent James McKay cedes the investigation when young Darren Kiely is killed in the seaside resort of Red Rock since CCTV caught Darren fighting with Michael Hennessy, whose sister, solicitor Claire, is James' wife. Michael's mother, over-bearing bar owner Patricia, sacks Darren's sister Katie, unaware that her son David is having an affair with her whilst Bridget Kiely, estranged from her family, returns to the town and her husband Vincent, Katie and her son Keith vowing revenge. Meanwhile Garda officer Sharon Cleere confides in colleague Paudge that she saw married sergeant Brian McGonigle kissing an apparently under age girl but, on his advice, keeps the news from James.
